How do I place an order?

Please complete the enquiry/order form in the contact us page, submit it to us and we will get back to you in 1-2 days

Do you take orders over the phone? 

Unfortunately, we do not take orders over the phone as information can get lost or misinterpreted. To avoid any miscommunication, we only take orders through our online Enquiry Form or social media direct message.

How much notice do I need to give for an order?

We need at least 14 days notice for an order. If you require the cake in less than 14 days, do not worry, you still can place an order through us.  All you need to do is complete the enquiry form in the contact us page and state the date. We will check our schedule for availability and get back to you within 1-2 days.

How do I know if my order is confirmed and my date is secured?

Once we have sent you an email confirmation of your order, a 50% deposit is to be paid within 2 days. This is to secure your order and date for the cake. The remaining balance of payment is to be paid 7 days on or before the collection/delivery date. Should the cake be ordered 14 days less than the collection/delivery date, full payment is to be received in order to confirm your order.

How do I pay?

We accept cash payment or via bank transfer.

Can I make changes to or cancel my order?

Changes can be made 7 days before your delivery/collection, after which we are unable to make any changes as we would have already purchased/prepared some of the items needed for the cake.

Yes, cancellation is possible on or before 7 days of the cake collection/delivery. However, 30% out of the 50% deposit will not be refundable. This is for administrative cost and time spent on the order.

Can I design my own cake or send in a picture of the design I wanted?

Please send an email of your design to admin@bakingjournal.com.au and we will let you know if it is possible. Please note we can only use an existing image of another cake as inspiration but cannot replicate another cake decorators work completely.

What is the minimum order and flavour for cupcakes or sugar cookies?

The minimum order is 12 for regular cupcakes in one flavour and 12 sugar cookies in one batch of order.

Do you do bulk pricing for cupcakes?

Yes, for quantities over 100.

Do you offer delivery?

Yes, we do. Delivery of cake is available for a fee, please let us know the location when making enquiry.

For self collection, it is advisable to bring a friend along to assist and support the cake box during transportation.

Do you offer nut, gluten and dairy-free cakes?

Unfortunately we do not offer these options. Our cakes are prepared in a kitchen where the equipment may have come into contact with nut, gluten and dairy at some point.

What if I am after a flavour that is not listed in your options?

At Baking Journal Cakes, we love to experiment. Please let us know if you are after a flavour that is not listed in our options, we will try our best to help you out.
